New work

Mary Johnson has been invited to participate in the Snow Mountain Residency program in LiJiang, the UNESCO World Heritage town of China’s Yunnan Province.




4 drawings will be included within Art Nova’s annual “100” exhibition; this year entitled SL/ASH, with the show opening in Beijing on August 27th at the Agricultural Center, and then traveling to locations throughout Asia. Johnson is one of 100 artists working in China to be included, among other artists originally from China, Japan, Korea, and the UK.


Mary Johnson will be joining the faculty at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing, as of August 2016. 

>Johnson’s work will be included in the New York Hall of Science, at the “Art Inspires Science: Food” exhibition held by the Art &Science Collaborations organization.

Johnson’s work will be shown again within Manifest Gallery’s INDA, (International Drawing Annual exhibition in print) this time edition 11. Publishing date in 2017.
