On Paper

These drawings include numerous materials: vegetable dyes, food juices and remains, digitally altered photographs of rotting, yet altered foods, ink, oils, photographic transfers, and pencil. This broad expanse of materials is used to further emphasize the ambiguous threads between the “real” and the “false”; the object and the image- as well as the seductive and repulsive. See more information about Johnson’s artistic process.
